A very warm welcome to the Phil’s 2012-13 concert season. To begin with we’ve still “Part 2” of our 150thAnniversary celebrations, having originally been founded as a distinct orchestral entity in 1862, and once again we have an exciting schedule of classical music to look forward to under the baton of our Principal Conductor Nicholas Smith together with our Leader Mary Barber. We are always keen to receive applications from players interested in joining the Phil’s orchestra. Come and join us for a unique opportunity experience to play in an orchestra celebrating its 150th Anniversary!
In particular we are currently, Autumn 2012, especially interested in hearing from string section players in the following disciplines:
Violins – First (forward desks), and also Second. Ideally we would like to build both sections up to full compliment of 16 players each.
